Achievement is a Critical Step to Deploy the eVinci Microreactor

Cranberry Township, PA, June 3, 2025 – Westinghouse Electric Company has received approval for its eVinci® Microreactor’s Preliminary Safety Design Report (PSDR) from the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). With this key milestone, Westinghouse becomes the first microreactor developer to secure an approved PSDR for the National Reactor Innovation Center’s Demonstration of Microreactor Experiments (NRIC-DOME) test bed at the Idaho National Laboratory (INL).

Memorandums of Understanding Support Deployments at Kozloduy Nuclear Power Plant and Globally

Sofia, Bulgaria, May 15, 2025 – Westinghouse Electric Company today announced the signing of memorandums of understanding (MoUs) with seven Bulgarian suppliers to support the two-unit AP1000® project at the Kozloduy Nuclear Power Plant site. Warsaw, Poland – April 28, 2025 – The Westinghouse-Bechtel consortium and Polskie Elektrownie Jądrowe (PEJ) announced the signing of an Engineering Development Agreement (EDA). Fuel Inserted at the Vogtle Unit 2 Supports Improved Fuel Cycle Safety and Reactor Operational Costs

CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, Pa., April 11, 2025 – In an industry first, Westinghouse Electric Company announced the insertion of Lead Test Assemblies with Low Enriched Uranium (LEU+) fuel at Unit 2 of Alvin W. Vogtle Electric Generating Plant in Waynesboro, Georgia. This milestone represents the first commercialization of LEU+ fuel in the U.S. and was accomplished with the support of the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Accident Tolerant Fuel (ATF) Program and Southern Company subsidiary Southern Nuclear, the operator of Plant Vogtle.

Agreement Supports Deployment of Advanced Reactors in Canada and Globally

Peterborough, Ontario, April 9, 2025 – Westinghouse Electric Company and Celeros Flow Technology (Celeros FT) announced today they have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to support nuclear new-build projects in Canada and globally. Under the agreement, Celeros FT has the potential to design and fabricate valves and pumps for key AP1000® and AP300™ projects.
